I booked a boudoir shoot to surprise my husband for Valentines Day, and also for my birthday coming up soon. I was very nervous because I’ve never done ANYTHING like this before. After much (MUCH) research I stumbled upon Karen French Photography. I saw she has an amazing reputation and is literally the best of the best when it comes to this type of thing. I arrived for my photoshoot nervous but excited. Immediately, I was greeted by Denise the office manager, and then Rocio.
Rocio gave me some bubbly (which eased my nerves-and made me feel so boujee) and got started on my hair and makeup. It felt so nice to get pampered, and when she was done with me-WOW! She did an amazing job! It was time for the photoshoot and I was brought back to the studio. Karen made me feel so comfortable. She guided me with some poses which felt awkward at the time, but I trusted her. She definitely knows her angles!! I left her studio feeling so good about myself..confident and sexy.
I went today to view and choose my pictures and OMG, I look like one of those girls from the magazines! I wanted them ALL lol. We narrowed it down to the best ones. This photoshoot was not just a photoshoot. It was an experience that I’ll never forget! Being a mommy of two boys, the youngest being 2-yoga pants and a messy bun has been my go-to style and I kind of forgot who I was..Thank you Karen, Denise, and Rocio for helping mommy get her groove back.

Wow! I had such a blast doing a boudoir shoot for a wedding gift for my fiancee. Karen and her team are so professional and the pictures turned out absolutely beautiful. Everyone is down to earth and makes sure you feel comfortable and they really do make you look your best, no matter who you are.

RJ made me feel so gorgeous! Everything was set up for me as soon as I arrived, and she offered a mimosa and some water, which were great to have after a long commute. She asked if there was any specific hair and make up style I wanted, and we were pretty much on the same page from the start. The only thing I was particular about was my lip color and she nailed it!

Karen makes you feel so comfortable and beautiful at every moment. She is with you 100% of the way, from selecting the right outfits paired with the right jewelry and shoes, to poses. I was obsessed with every sneak peek photo she showed me on her camera. I could not believe it was me! This experience was the first in my life that I could attach the word “”priceless”” to.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! GORGEOUS BOUDOIR PHOTOS! From the moment I entered the photography studio Karen and her staff made me feel comfortable and very welcomed, even though I was insanely nervous!
RJ her make up artist did an incredible job & listening to the fact that I don’t wear much make up so I still naturally looked like myself! Karen immediately made me feel comfortable and took me step by step through each photo pose and made me feel very confident about my body!
I got to see a glimpse of my photos as she took them which made me extremely excited for my viewing meeting of my pictures not even a week later. I’m seriously dyyyyyyying with happiness over my experience with Karen French Photography. I was VERY hesitant, nervous, body conscious, and anxious when I decided to do this for my husband as a present, (especially after two kids) but I knew he would love it, so I sucked it up!
From the moment I entered her studio, her staff (all women) were so comforting, amazing and really eased my nerves. I got my hair and makeup done by the best girl and she did it really naturally so I still looked like myself – I loved it!
You enter the studio with Karen only to take photos. She is SO good at what she does. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease. When you think she has the worst angle ever and your tummy looks horrible, you are SO wrong. She’s all about angles and lighting and hand and leg positioning…. it makes ALL the difference! She makes sure you look the most beautiful you will ever look.
Half way through, you become so comfortable you kind of forget about why you were nervous in the first place. They have music playing that’s fun to take pictures to and if you want a glass of champagne, that’s an option too :)
At the end of the day I realized that I also did this for me. We get so caught up in being busy and life and kids and work that sometimes you forget to concentrate on yourself. I promise anyone who decides to just take a chance and do this, YOU WILL NOT be disappointed!
I just came in for the proofs to order my book and I’m beyond blown away. My husband is going to DIE. They are beyond anything I ever expected. This experience has been over the top amazing and I couldn’t recommend this more for women any age or size. You will walk away having a new appreciation for your beauty :)

This is such a long overdue review but I’m finally able to get my experience on here! I’m a 21 year old woman who came to Karen to help me in my dream of being a model… and to gift myself a sweet and sexy album of my own photoshoot! This company was incredible to work with! Karen herself was amazing at making me feel comfortable and brought out the confidence I needed, not to mention the absolutely STUNNING photos she produced for me.
This was my first professional shoot I’ve done and it will not be the last. Starting with the makeup and hair, it took just about an hour if not a little less. We laughed and exchanged our own experiences of doing makeup and hair after she told me a little about herself and how she got started doing this as a career. She was able to make me look like the 80’s queen I’ve always wanted to be, down to the bittersweet details of heavier blush, big hair, and sparkling glamour eye-shadow!
Next I went to the set to work with Karen. It had a good amount of different backdrops to work with so let Karen choose the first one! As we worked together she not only was able to help pose me but explained specific gestures and how just keeping your hand angled a specific way makes everything more sweeter or delicate. She did this a lot as I was always curious and the little facts usually always took me by surprised! Who knew something so small can affect the bigger picture?
Anyway, the photoshoot was amazing and such an experience I will never forget. Coming back to view the pictures after editing blew me away. I thought I was going to cry seeing myself on the screen that displayed my photos, I couldn’t believe it was me! She had me choose the select amount of photos I’d like to have in my album and the remaining were put onto a flash drive for me. I was able to pay for the photos and album on a monthly payment plan, and oh boy when that last month came to pay it off I was EXCITED.
I got a call saying I could pick up my album and photos, so naturally I came ASAP! It all came out so beautifully, I love to show it off to my friends. I always recommend Karen French Photography to my friends who are interested in doing a photoshoot like this. I cant thank you enough Karen, you provided me a permanent reminder of how beautiful I truly am!

This was my first experience taking boudoir shots (for an anniversary gift for the hubs). I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I walked out in the first outfit (dodger jersey/panties) slightly hesitant, but in no time at all, Karen had me feeling comfortable, confident and totally empowered! By the 4th outfit, I had no trouble walking out in stilettos, bra and panties.
This is the comfort that Karen provided! An awesome makeup artist did my hair and makeup which prepared me to be my best. The entire session was phenomenal! After reviewing my final prints, I’m more than ecstatic to gift this to hubby, but more than that, a gift to myself.

The makeup was better than the makeup on my wedding day and the photographer made me feel the best I’ve ever felt.

I actually went out after the shoot to purchase the make up so I could attempt to redo the look myself. As a curly girl hair stylist can be a struggle. Her stylist embraced and enhances my curls and natural texture.

I walked into this adorable, yet classy studio with a bag of lingerie and heels along with my boyfriend’s big bass in it’s case feeling timid, nervous and shy. This is absolutely not my style or my personality, but it was intimidating thinking about taking pictures in lingerie and heels. Almost immediately, those feelings disappeared as I got the royal treatment with a glass of champagne from Denise (the most helpful and patient person!). She commented on how awesome it was that I had brought the bass because not many people bring props. She then looked up some previous pictures of women with guitars and suggested I try a few of those poses and I was so excited to try them! I then got my hair and makeup done by an amazing hair stylist and make up artist (I’m completely spacing on her name) who was gorgeous and worked quickly and diligently and made sure my vision became a reality. I then took my bag of lingerie, the bass in it’s case and walked into this incredible set!
I had met Karen back in the studio and she was immediately welcoming, warm and kind. When i walked into the photo studio with all of the sets, she was quick to help me organize and suggest outfits and shoes. She knew exactly what to say to make me feel comfortable and excited! She gave me so many compliments and was very easy with her directions. Denise came in at one point to help me with one of the bass poses she had suggested earlier and made sure it was perfect. I felt like a VIP super model and I wish every Saturday could be like that!
A week after the shoot, I came back to view the pictures. My jaw dropped when she put the first photo on the computer screen. I couldn’t believe that sexy woman was truly me without any photo shop or major editing! It was such a boost of confidence to see these and I was stoked to show my boyfriend. More importantly, I was stoked that I did this for myself. Karen and her team made sure every moment of this experience was flawless and incredible. My boyfriend loved my pictures and even framed one and hung it on the wall!
If you’re going to do anything in life, it MUST be this! For YOU first!

I found Karen’s services and loved the sophisticated style of her photos so I decided to book. I booked hair and makeup services and RJ did an AMAZING job making me feel sexy but not over down and unrecognizable.
The studio is comfortable, clean and Karen’s props are perfect for backgrounds. Karen made me feel at ease the entire time and showed me pictures during the session to ensure we were on the same page with what i was hoping to capture. The pictures turned out AMAZING and I will definitely be back every year for a shoot…good way to keep myself in shape ;) thank you Karen and team!

This was the best decision I ever made. I did this photo shoot for my fiancé to have the night before our wedding. And just as a gift for him. I went in nervous and was immediately calmed by the sweet girls here. My makeup and hair girl was so easy going and personable. She made me feel so comfortable.
My hair and makeup was nothing short of perfect. After hair and makeup Karen explained everything so great. She’s such a sweet woman with such a calm presence. She made me feel so comfortable. She went through my outfits and helped me decide which shoes to wear and which ones to start with. Once we started shootings I wasn’t nervous at all.
I felt so beautiful and sexy. She watches you how to form and move your body so it’s just right for the photos. She’s so positive and compliments you the whole time. I had such a great time. Okay I never write reviews (especially binging a bride-to-be, I don’t have time), but I have to take a few moments to recognize Karen. She is UNBELIEVABLY talented! I wanted to give my fiancé a special gift on our wedding day and decided to do a boudoir photo shoot. Well I did my research and looked up many photographers who specialized in these shoots, but nothing I saw even came close to Karen’s galleries!
Her photos were incredible and I noticed that not all of clients were models with fake boobs and tiny waists and completely photoshopped. Karen made each person look AND feel beautiful! It was evident through those photos, and at the end of the day, I didn’t want to give my fiancé an unrealistic photobook that I was not (he has seen me naked before…shocker!) I booked my appt with her and her and Chelsea, her makeup and hair gal (which btw, I am SUPER picky with how my hair and makeup is done), and I could not be more impressed!!!
Not only did Karen take the time to shoot my photos with many different outfits, but she made me feel comfortable in my own skin! (Mind you, I ate 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the night before), but the angles, lighting and outfits we picked, were perfect for what I needed, and I honestly have never felt more beautiful before. I am a woman who has insecurities and critiques every part of my body, so I am very particular on photos of me, especially when I am half naked. Karen truly delivered and when I came to for my photo viewing session, I literally loved EVERY photo!
I am so impressed by her professionalism, keen eye, and confidence that made me feel confident! If I could give her 100 stars I would! Like I said before, I don’t ever make a decision without doing my research and what she produces is a true reflection of amazing work and of her own character! I found out after the fact that she does wedding wedding photography and I would have booked her to shoot my wedding if I hadn’t already booked. I did however, book Chelsea for my wedding day makeup! (She’s THAT good!) If you are looking for a photographer who knows what their doing, book Karen! She is incredible!!!!

I bought this experience on a whim one day. I am so glad I did. I have never felt better about myself than I did that day and now that I have seen the final product I am so glad I did it. From start to finish the day was amazing. Chelsea did an wonderful job on my makeup (she even covered up a black eye my little one gave me).. As soon as I met both her and Karen I was at ease. The shoot part was fun.

I had a wonderful experience with them recently and definitely looking to do more shoots with Karen in the future. Even though, I haven’t seen my retouch photos yet but I’m so confident that they will be exceptional. Karen showed me the raw photos after the shoot and they looked amazing already. My appointment was early on Saturday and I had RJ as my makeup artist and hairstylist.
My first impression of her was she is a beautiful lady with a very positive attitude. She is dedicated to her work and she’s very knowledgeable about what she does. That was the first time I had airbrush done on my face. Strangely, I liked that airbrush feeling and the makeup stayed on very well after. Another big plus is the music she played was very relaxing but not boring.
After the preparation stage, I went into the studio and had a wonderful shoot with Karen. The atmosphere was very comfortable because she is a very friendly person. There wasn’t a moment of awkwardness throughout the shoot even when I was semi-naked and rolled around in all different poses. She would talk to you throughout the shoot and guide you through it. I’m not a professional by any means but she is definitely an expert at what she does also.
She assisted me at matching the clothes and shoes, she arranged her own background and furnitures, and she positioned the lightnings herself as well. If you haven’t never done any photoshoot before. This is the place I will recommend for you. They are all experts in their fields so they will help you make the process as smooth as possible. If you have done photoshoot before, you will appreciate the professionalism they provide here.
